Significant funds awarded to UFR for innovative METS technology commercialisation
Universal Field Robots is proud to announce that we have been awarded significant funding from METS Ignited to commercialise and scale our latest robotics and automation technology.
Through their latest round of project funds, METS Ignited has awarded over $2.5 million of matched funding to support accelerating commercialisation of Australian technology.
METS Ignited CEO Adrian Beer said the resources sector is transforming to meet society’s demand for minerals obtained in a sustainable manner.
“We are delighted to see this overwhelming demand for Australian innovation. This round of investment includes technology that delivers safety, autonomy and low emissions technology, METS Ignited continues to invest in Australia’s future” Adrian Beer said.
This latest round of project funding is focused on scaling commercialisation. Six companies who have delivered successful industry pilots were selected to scale their technologies – MyPass Global, ZERO Automotive, Safescape, AMOG, Universal Field Robots and 3ME Technology.
Universal Field Robots (UFR) is accelerating the automation of mining activities through robotic mobile equipment and vehicles. Our success has been achieved by collaborative partnerships with miners and service companies that typically have a more ambitious and aggressive approach to automation development.
This project will expand our capability through extending our robot library, enabling the delivery of our robotic application across multiple product platforms that will improve safety and remove workers from harmful environments.
Jeff Sterling, Managing Director at Universal Field Robots, said that robotics is an exciting field, with huge opportunities for growth, both in Australia and abroad.
“We are building a world-class scaleable business based in Australia that is providing new employment and high tech opportunities for other businesses.”
The Universal Field Robots team is looking forward to sharing updates on our progress as soon as possible. Watch this space.
