Universal Field Robots<\/a> has been accepted into the QUT Bluebox Accelerator<\/a> and <\/span>the team is working it\u2019s way up a steep new learning curve. The program is lead by Chief Entrepreneur in Residence Dr Tim MacTaggart and ICT Entrepreneur in Residence Yotam Rosenbaum and is based on the MIT<\/a> disciplined entrepreneurship workbook. Week 1 and 2 of the program have involved assistance in identifying target markets and guidance engaging and learning from customers and crafting the perfect product.<\/p>\n

The QUT Bluebox Accelerator is specifically tailored to robotics technology and allows for the exchange of ideas and support of and from the cohort of robotics startups who are all trying to develop their prototypes into products with viable and sustainable businesses. UFR has been working through some problems with part of the team that won the amazon picking challenge<\/a> in Singapore and who are now on their way to develop a startup based on their winning technology. The program is supported by Japan\u2019s Softbank<\/a>, one of the worlds largest robotics companies and provides a funding injection into UFR along with a possible cash prize should the team be judged as successful at the end of the 3 month program.<\/p>\n
