Universal Field Robots named finalist in 2019 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards
The team at Universal Field Robots is proud to announce that we have been named a finalist in this year’s 2019 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards in the CCIQ Award for Outstanding Small Business category. We are in great company with 56 other finalist businesses representing a wide breadth of talent and ingenuity within Brisbane’s business community, including a high-resolution radar that predicts mine site collapses, a food delivery service connecting local farmers to consumers, and an online platform helping people access legal services. UFR is honoured to be joining this impressive line-up of finalists.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the operators of the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards, Brisbane Marketing, who do an amazing job of promoting Brisbane as Australia’s New World City. Brisbane has shaped itself as a vibrant hub and world leader attracting industry sectors that are globally scalable in the new world economy. A special thanks must also go to the Outstanding Small Business category sponsor Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland (CCIQ), who represent more than 400,000 small and medium businesses across Queensland.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the 2019 finalists represent the wide breadth of talent and ingenuity within Brisbane’s business community.
“Many successful and innovative businesses call Brisbane home and I’m pleased to see an incredibly strong group of finalists this year,” Cr Schrinner said.
“The 2019 finalists demonstrate why Brisbane is one of Australia’s most progressive and business-friendly cities – a place where collaboration is a genuine part of business.”
Congratulations to the finalists in all eleven categories, and best of luck to our fellow CCIQ Award for Outstanding Small Business category finalists:
• Aremdeco Pty Ltd
• CrossFit Torian
• Liquid State
• New Farm Confectionery
• Nourish’d
Universal Field Robots Managing Director Jeff Sterling said that the team is looking forward to attending the Gala Dinner at City Hall on Friday 18 October 2019.
“It will be fantastic to meet the other impressive finalists, celebrate Brisbane as a vibrant centre of innovation and enterprise, and eagerly await the announcement of the winners,” he said.
