UFR contributes to Field Robotics Cluster Muster
The future of robotics is here and now, as automation is already happening worldwide and can’t be stopped. Queensland has the unique opportunity to leverage our leading robotics and automation capability and launch Australia further onto the world stage. Universal Field Robots Founder and Managing Director, Jeff Sterling, Artemis IRS, and other industry leaders will be contributing their views at the Field Robotics Cluster Muster this Friday 19th July at The Precinct in Fortitude Valley.
The event will run from 10am to 1pm, with planned discussion points including:
“Is field robotics the mining industry’s next growth area?” and “How will robotics and automation impact safety and productivity in mining?”
This and many other questions will be addressed at the cluster event, where attendees will be encouraged to engage in discussions about how Queensland can best capitalise on our existing capability and accelerate the adoption of these technologies to boost production and income growth.

By lifting productivity and incomes, automation could add around $1.2 trillion to the Australian economy by 2030 and Australians could earn additional income of $30,000 over that period. It is critical that industry, government, employers and education providers collaborate to ensure that these benefits can be realised for the sake of the Australian economy” – Jeff Sterling.
